Ignatian Spirituality in Music (ISM) Collection
© Ruth Scherer Leacock
One-Year Free Use License 2.0
There are no fees for the 2.0 license. Subsequent available licenses
may require a fee.
Section 1--Permissions Granted
The author has protected your right to use the Ignatian Spirituality
in Music Collection by copyrighting the ISM Collection and offering a
one-year free-use license. When you receive this License, you have permission
to:
- Make printed copies of the sheet music. (See Section 2)
- Distribute and use the printed copies with your congregation
or small group. You may NOT electronically publish the music yourself,
but you may establish links to the Ignatian Spirituality In Music
web site.
- Perform the music gratis.
- Make minor modifications to the sheet music of the ISM collection.
(See Section 3).
This License is intended to guarantee your freedom to do the above
and make sure that others can do so as well. If you distribute printed
copies of the ISM Collection, you may charge a copying fee, but you
may NOT charge for the music itself.
Section 2--Copyright & License Notices
You may distribute and use verbatim printed copies of the ISM collection
(or parts of it) with your congregation or small group provided that
you conspicuously and appropriately publish:
- The copyright notice already on each song, as well as:
- "Used with permission. License #[your license]. See www.leacock.com/music."
Section 3--Modification Notices and Rules
In order to improve the music, you are encouraged to experiment with
the ISM Collection, make minor changes and convey
this feedback to the author. Please note:
- If you make changes to any part of the ISM collection and pass them
on, the recipients should know that what they have is not the original
version. Distributed copies with alterations must carry a notice
stating that you made modest changes to the music and the date of the
change.
- Minor changes means alterations that do not substantially alter the
meaning or feel of the work. For example: minor changes in harmony,
chording, dynamics, or lyrics.
- Minor changes sent to the author for feedback, may be incorporated
into the ISM collection and become the property of the original author.
- If you would like to make substantial changes to, or collaborate on,
any part of the ISM Collection, please contact
the author.
Section 4--Accepting this License
You are not required to accept this License, since you have not signed
it. However, nothing else grants you the permissions described in Section
One. These permissions are prohibited by law if you do not accept this
License. Therefore, by making printed copies, by distributing them,
by using them, by performing the work, or by modestly altering the ISM
Collection you indicate your acceptance of this License and all its
terms and conditions.
If you violate the terms of this agreement, you automatically terminate
your rights under this License.
Activities other than copying, distributing, using, performing, and
making minor alterations are not covered by this License; they are outside
its scope and reserved by the author.
